Computers give us the ability to accomplish many things we can't do without them. I don't think we can envision our lives now without access to computers. So we need to keep them working as they should and at an adequate speed. Here are some good ideas to speed up your computer.
Programs you don't need: Pretty much all computers assembled and sold retail by brand name companies load software applications that the computer does not need. I have stopped this in the past by having computer shops to build my computer with components to my specifications rather than purchasing a packaged unit. This eliminates some programs operating on my computer that do not need to be there. So next time you buy a computer you can do this.... but what can be done about this now? The best answer to these "extra" programs is to let a expert clean them out of your pc for you. It can be hazardous to do too much program deleting for the average computer user.
Memory storage: This involves two types of computer memory that can make your pc slow down. The repair is either adding more memory or removing some of the data you are storing. The longer you work your computer the more data is stored away. Our computers now have a tremendous amount of capacity compared to say ten years ago, but the computer requires so much more also. Our information is stored in various drives and by many different applications of your personal computer. Just as with any storage location - warehouse, storage room, closet, etc. - the space needs to be optimized. It doesn't matter how much space is available, if it is not organized it can slow down your computer.
Hard disk / random access memory: Computers have 2 types of memory: hard disk and its RAM or random access memory. The hard disk is where data is stored long term and the RAM is for short term. I know of a computer that had a lot of hard disk capacity but was slow because the amount of RAM was too small. It took almost all the RAM to run the operating system and left none for other applications to run. This situation can be solved by buying and installing more RAM into the computer. And you can do this at home yourself.
Windows registry: If your computer has had programs added and deleted very much will almost always need a registry cleaning. We do not actually remove it totally, it just will not get all of it. Cleaning, or optimizing, the registry can help take away unnecessary information and that can be a slow computer fix for your pc. The more you work your computer the more the registry becomes chaotic. And removing the computer's trash bin does not get rid of it also.
Registry cleaning or optimization is something you can do and is probably your best route. Since I've had a windows registry cleaner I feel safer and my computer performs better as well.
